We will not win the War on Terror until and unless we get some help from the 800 pound Gorilla.

The 800 pound Gorilla is the peaceful majority of Muslims who, to this point, have done precious little to literally and/or figuratively shout down their vicious brethren. 

Where are you?

Let's look at the numbers:  I understand there are roughly 1.2 billion (Billion!) Muslims in the world.  There are currently, let's say, 30,000 functioning terrorists in and around Iraq and/or waiting in "cells" in America to launch attacks.  We're told that roughly 10% of the 1.2 billion are sympathetic to the jihad's cause.  120 million.  Terrifying.

I admit I wasn't at the top of my class in math.  But if I'm seeing those numbers correctly, that leaves over one billion (Billion!) people who are watching as their jihadist Muslim brothers are causing great damage worldwide.  Watching as the world literally teeters on destruction as some of these jihadists are either close to developing nuclear bombs (Iran) or could get their hands on nuclear bombs that already exist (Pakistan, India, Russia).

Where are you?

There must be a reason this one billion has done little to help.  I certainly don't claim to know what the reason is, but I suppose I could make a list of wild guesses:

1. They think their help is not needed, that we can handle this
2. They're afraid for their lives, that they're simply too scared to act
3. They don't care what happens
4. They wouldn't mind seeing The West destroyed
5. They're waiting for when the time is right (I think I'm stretching, but I'm trying)

Any other ideas?

The silence from the peaceful majority of Muslims in the world is deafening, and it has gone on for so long that I now can't help but suspect it is by design.  What's going on here?
